Use
of Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC)
Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC) is the term that will be used in my
written work to identify the communication with nonphysical entities
with the use of technology. Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) is a term
that has historically been used to describe the voice form of ITC and will
continued to be used when addressing that specific area of these
phenomena. Naturally, the American
Association Electronic Voice Phenomena (AA-EVP) will continue to
use the term, EVP, because
of the history of that association.
ITC is a good term, but as a metaphysician, I have had difficulty
explaining its meaning. For instance, any phrase using such
terms as "dimension" argues a different nature of reality
than is currently supported by the evidence. It is true that
there may be dimensions, but the usual definition of dimension does
not embrace the evidence for a nonphysical reality. With that
said, the greater sin would be to coin yet another term. ITC appears to be
well on the way toward the International standard describing these phenomena.
The
Hypothesis
From my perspective, the
working hypothesis of ITC may be summed up in this way:
-
Nonphysical
Reality: There
is an aspect of reality that is not yet defined by physical science.
This may be termed "nonphysical reality."
-
The
Communicating Entity: Entities
exist in nonphysical reality. Evidence indicates that there are the
following types of entities:
-
Self
that has survived physical death. When you transition out of your
body at the time of death, you as Self, apparently continue to
exist in nonphysical reality. Discarnate Selves appear to
reside on many possible "levels" or venues of existence. They also represent many
different levels of spiritual maturity. In more popular
terms, these are loved ones who have transitioned out of physical
life.
-
Entities
who are Self but who have not experienced physical existence.
Perhaps these are people who evolved in other levels or dimensions
of reality.
-
Entities
who are Self, but who are focused on the operation of reality,
rather than experiencing reality. In more popular terms,
these are devic entities or angels.
-
Entities
who may actually be Self existing in other parts of physical
reality, but who have learned to transition in and out of
nonphysical reality at will. Could these be
extraterrestrials?
-
Finally,
we are Self hosted in the physical by our physical body.
While we are "entangled" with our physical body, our
attention is tightly coupled with the physical aspect of
reality. But when we are sleeping or our attention is
otherwise disassociated with the physical, we as Self, are very
much like our discarnate friends. As such, we have evidence
that some EVP samples are actually thoughts of living people.
-
The
Veil: There
is an energetic difference between physical and nonphysical reality.
Bridging this difference is not a trivial task.
The
Mediumship of the Experimenter: The ITC experimenter provides the necessary circumstances,
with
technology and by gathering energy used by the entity, to
communicate. The Principle of Agreement indicates that an
object of reality must be energetically in agreement with the aspect of
reality it will inhabit. The information originating from a discarnate
entity--the message--is nonphysical and requires a physical "body"
for it to be energetically in agreement with the physical. The ITC
experimenter, acting as a medium, provides the necessary transformation of
the information via the existing nonphysical to physical couple afforded by
the mind-body interface of the physical body.
Transfer method: It is believed that ITC
messages and images are telepathically conveyed to the experimenter or an
interested party or parties who have attention on the experiment. The
experimenter then telekinetically transfigures physical energy to form the
message. This process occurs without the conscious awareness of the
experimenter and entirely under the communicating entity's control--with a
possible exception. The experimenter is the medium and it is known
that the medium provides the "vocabulary" for the nonphysical to
physical exchange of information. Thus, it is reasonable to note some
"coloring" of messages and images, based on the experimenter's
worldview.
Energy: The exchange of nonphysical to physical
information is also an energy dependent process. By this, I mean that
the transformation of information requires both physical energy to be
transfigured and nonphysical energy to facilitate the transfer of
information across the veil. It is easy enough to provide the physical
energy, either as sound or video energy, but the availability of suitable
nonphysical energy is a function of several influences. For instance,
the spiritual maturity of the experimenter may help determine the amount of
nonphysical energy he or she is able to bring to the experiment. A
"contact field" of energy can be accumulated by a group of
like-minded people. Also environmental circumstances may apply.
Finally, while natural ability may be the dominant factor, the mediumistic
ability of the experimenter can be developed, just as any tool can be, via
practice, attention and study. This ability has been clearly shown to
be a factor in ITC.
Physical
Mechanism for Message Formation: Through stochastic resonance,
order will tend to emerge out of chaotic environments. In signal
theory, it is known that a weak signal that is "immersed" in
noise, will tend to emerge out of that noise through the process of
stochastic resonance. Psi experiments often include the use of white
noise provided to the subject via headphones. This is known to enhance
performance. Physical energy in the form of background noise in EVP
and Video Feedback noise in Video ITC is commonly applied during ITC
experiments.
All of these instances of broad-spectrum chaotic noise have one thing in
common. A weak signal, such as the psi energy used in mind-to-mind
communications between the communicating entity and the experimenter, is
mingled with chaotic physical energy to produce discernable messages and
images.
To
paraphrase this hypothesis, ITC experimenters know they are
communicating with some form of intelligence. Different
experimenters report contact with different types of entities. The
experimenter uses technology and there is also considerable evidence
that the experimenter is an important part of the circuit. In
other words, if long-dead Uncle John is to communicate, he must find a
way to bring his words in physical substance. That channel of
communication is provided by the experimenter and the electronic
equipment. Exactly how this is accomplished is not clear; however,
mediumship and the ability to record have been shown to be learned
abilities. The attitude and desire of the individual is central to
this experience.
